When and where?

I've been out of touch for at least a week due to a crappy drive failing on me taking everything I've been working on for the past few months with it. The really irritating part is that I was installing the drive that was going to serve as the new backup (massive ammounts of data tend to generate themselves when you make music) when everything went to hell.

I'll endure the IE social scene to find others if I have to though I'll prefer to find a place those of us that aren't going to fit into the "norm" nor have any desire to can hang. Even if it is the park having a picnic or something equally bizarre.

Menagerie, to be fair, has finally hired a DJ that can actually DJ and he's actually proving to be a fair engineer as well because their system sounds better nearly every week but it's a far cry from what we get in the desert and/or LA in lesser venues. I still refuse to patronize VIP, even if someone else is funding it.

As a really crazy and super fun thing to do I'm suggesting we all head out in someone's big ass gas guzzler to the Drive In Movie Theater. We can watch two movies for five bucks a head. Popcorn, sodas, and snacks can be a potluck sorta thing or we can hit the fast food joint on the way there first.... not exactly the eco-friendliest of options but it beats going in 10 SUVs or 5 cars. [Note to self... get one of those clicky nylon lounge chairs that fold up.]

So there's a few options... it'd be nifty to see others and actually see something happen. I do plan to resume Fire in the emPire in a bit but right now I'm trying to pull quite a few very important things together. If you're interested in playing with fire hit me up. There are a few of us but we aren't strong in numbers so we really need to encourage one another.
