Party in the Desert

Hey All:

I'm in need of transportation to a party my friend is throwing. The music is going to be excellent, it's an outdoor location, and it should be a lot of fun. I believe the schedule is next weekend starting Friday and going through the entire holiday weekend. My preference is to stay and help clean up, of course the length of stay is entirely dependent on the driver's whim.

Standard preparation includes having a few changes of clothes for HOT and COLD weather. The extremes out there can be rather extreme. Plenty of sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. A tent and bedding. Your hygiene products for keeping your mouth clean and your body smelling relatively nice (it's really dry out there so everything just evaporates - odor is nominal). Snacky foods. Plenty of ice. Regular food. Toys to entertain yourself with (lights, fire, glowsticks, kites, devilsticks, zuni poi, etc). Camera.

I have already, my own tent, my own bedding, jugs for water (2 5 gallon jugs), a camp stove, propane for the stove, cookware, flatware, cups, a bathroom shovel, toilet paper, cooking skill, lots of ramen, My own toys (kite, lights, camera... ) I have plenty of music to take for the trip so we'll have plenty of good stuff to listen to that will whet your appetite for similar stuff on a BIG system. I have experience.

What you can expect, lots of dancing, meeting new people, making new friends, hearing good music you can't find anywhere else, some awesome fragrances from various kinds of incense and smoke, being too hot, being too cold, not getting a quiet place, hearing music the entire time we're there, picking up after yourself, setting up and breaking down camp when you don't really feel like it, getting there later than we ever intended, leaving there later than we ever intended, a Long drive.

I have no cash at the moment so we'll have to be creative about how I can cover my share of food and fuel but I'm open to exchanges of work, talent, skill, and experience.

Catchya later.
